VOXCOM’s ResponseNet Wireless solution allows your security system to communicate with VOXCOM’s Emergency Response Centre (ERC) through a digital wireless network. VOXCOM’s ResponseNet Wireless solution transmits 2-way signals through a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) Network, over both GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) and SMS (Short Message Service) communication channels. Unlike ‘back up’ solutions, which rely on obsolete technology such as analog cellular networks and radio; ResponseNet Wireless provides customers with a secure, wireless, primary connection between their alarm system and VOXCOM's ERC.

GSM is the world standard for wireless communications that is relied upon by more than 73% of the world's digital markets. This proven and reliable technology allows us to use ResponseNet Wireless as a primary connection and the traditional phone line as the back solution. The wireless network has a built in back up (redundancy) since it can communicate over both GPRS and SMS channels. In situations where a traditional phone line is not available customers still have 2 modes of communication between their alarm system and the VOXCOM's ERC.

COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS

  • High risk for burglary and/ or the high security requirements
  • Requirement for a fully redundant security solution
  • Customers located in areas where its difficult to install a voice or data connection
  • Commercial customers with exposed telephone lines
  • Business insurance policies that require a ULC Level 3 monitoring connection to our Emergency Response Centre
  • Commercial customer with a VoIP or digital phone based communication system

WHERE IS RESPONSENET AVAILABLE?

- Available to residential and commercial customers

- ResponseNet Wireless is not a manufacture specific solution and compatible with most panels that communicates in contact ID;

- Requires access to the Rogers GSM Network

- ResponseNet Wireless can only be offered with a VOXCOM monitoring solution

Note: Currently, ResponseNet Wireless does not support 2-way voice service.


HOW MUCH DOES RESPONSENET COST?

In addition to VOXCOM’s monthly monitoring, monthly rate for ResponseNet Wireless will be:

  • $12.00 (residential)
  • $15.00 (commercial)

The additional hardware for ResponseNet Wireless is $299.
